نماء الخيرية تفتتح مستوصفًا صحيًا متكاملًا في مأرب لدعم القطاع الصحي في اليمن
In a significant humanitarian step reflecting its commitment to supporting the health sector in conflict zones, Namaa Charity, in partnership with the Social Reform Society, opened a comprehensive health clinic in Marib Governorate, Yemen. The clinic aims to alleviate the suffering of the population and enhance access to essential medical services amidst one of the world's most severe humanitarian and health crises.
Abdulaziz Al-Kandari, Deputy CEO of Namaa Charity, stated: “The opening of this clinic comes in response to the growing healthcare needs in Marib Governorate, which hosts hundreds of thousands of displaced people. This influx has placed immense pressure on existing medical facilities and resulted in a severe shortage of specialized services. The clinic has been equipped according to the latest approved health standards, making it a comprehensive medical facility serving the residents of Marib and surrounding areas. It is the first specialized orthopedic center in Marib Governorate and includes two medical clinics, a medical laboratory, a fully equipped pharmacy, a reception and patient services department, a waiting area, administrative offices, a medical storage facility, and fully equipped restrooms. The clinic is expected to receive approximately 3,000 patients monthly, thus contributing to easing the burden on other health facilities and improving the quality of healthcare provided to the local community.”
Al-Kandari added: “The opening of this health clinic in Marib Governorate stems from our humanitarian responsibility towards our brothers and sisters in Yemen and is a response to the extremely difficult healthcare situation, as the country suffers from a significant deterioration in its healthcare infrastructure due to years of conflict.” Al-Kandari added: “Reports from the United Nations and the World Health Organization indicate that more than 70% of Yemen’s population faces difficulties accessing basic healthcare services, while nearly half of the country’s health facilities are either completely or partially out of service. This makes such projects an urgent humanitarian necessity.”
He explained that Marib Governorate, in particular, is experiencing exceptional pressure on its health services due to the increasing number of displaced people, which exacerbates the need for qualified medical centers. He stated: “At Namaa Charity, we were keen to ensure that this clinic would be a model of integrated healthcare, not just a temporary treatment point. Its design and equipment meet modern medical standards, with a focus on the most needed specialties, primarily orthopedics and orthopedic surgery.”
Al-Kandari emphasized that the project was implemented in coordination with accredited entities and in accordance with applicable legal and humanitarian frameworks. He explained: “At Namaa Charity, we are committed to implementing our international projects in cooperation with accredited local partners and in full coordination with official bodies and the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This ensures the integrity of the procedures, the quality of implementation, and the sustainability of the humanitarian impact.” He added: This institutional approach enhances donors’ confidence and ensures that aid reaches those who deserve it with the highest levels of transparency and efficiency. Al-Kandari concluded his statement by saying: We at Namaa Charity believe that healthcare is not a luxury, but an inherent human right, and that investing in the health sector is an investment in human dignity and stability. We will continue, God willing, to implement health and development projects that contribute to alleviating suffering and creating a sustainable impact on the lives of affected communities.
