The importance of the project
Building and constructing mosques is considered an act of ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), the reward for which continues to accrue to the individual even after their death. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said, according to a narration by Muslim on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may God be pleased with him): “When a person dies, all their deeds cease except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that benefits others, or a righteous child who prays for them.” This means that these three acts give a person the opportunity to receive reward even after their death. Uthman (may God be pleased with him) said: “I heard the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) say: ‘Whoever builds a mosque for God, God will build for him a similar house in Paradise.’”
