Namaa Charity implements a project to drill 3 artesian wells in Chad
Namaa Charity, a branch of the Social Reform Society, implemented a project to drill three artesian wells in the Hadjer Lamis region of Chad, serving the villages of Maloui and Al-Masqat. The project also included the provision of urgent relief aid to Sudanese refugees, benefiting more than 10,000 people.
A Safe and Sustainable Water Source
In a statement, Abdulaziz Al-Kandari, Deputy CEO of Namaa Charity, said that water projects are a lifeline for the most vulnerable communities. He noted that residents of the targeted villages had been suffering from water scarcity and were forced to travel long distances in harsh weather conditions to obtain water.
He added that drilling the three wells has provided a safe and sustainable water source for approximately 9,000 beneficiaries. He emphasized that water is not only a source of drinking water but is also essential for a dignified life, a cornerstone of public health, and a crucial factor in promoting social stability.
Relief for Sudanese refugees
Al-Kandari pointed out that the situation of Sudanese refugees in Chad is extremely difficult due to food and water shortages and the absence of basic necessities. He emphasized Namaa Charity's commitment to continuing its humanitarian projects and called for support for relief initiatives that contribute to alleviating the suffering of those in need.
Namaa Charity continues to support Gaza residents by distributing food baskets, benefiting 1,000 people.
