“Namaa” distributes 450 water tankers in Gaza

The Namaa Charitable Society, affiliated with the Social Reform Society, announced the implementation of a humanitarian project entitled “A Drop Revives Hope,” distributing 450 water tankers in the Gaza Strip. More than 11,250 people benefited from the project, which is part of the Society’s efforts to meet the basic needs of the affected population amidst the dire humanitarian situation there.

Walid Al-Bassam, Head of the Financial, Administrative, and Governance Affairs Sector at Namaa, stated in a press release on Sunday that the project comes in response to the severe shortage of water resources, particularly in the northern areas of the Gaza Strip, which are facing significant deterioration in infrastructure and basic services. He explained that securing water for the population has become an urgent necessity under the current circumstances, emphasizing that this initiative aims to contribute to alleviating the suffering of the residents and enhancing their ability to cope with daily challenges.

Al-Bassam affirmed that Kuwait continues to play its humanitarian role by supporting relief projects targeting the most vulnerable groups, reflecting its unwavering commitment to charitable work at both the regional and international levels. On this occasion, the beneficiaries expressed their appreciation for the humanitarian support provided by Kuwait, both its leadership and its people, emphasizing the importance of continuing such initiatives given the current circumstances.

This initiative comes amidst a sharp deterioration in the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
