Namaa Charity opens 8 wells to alleviate the water scarcity crisis in India

Namaa Charity, a subsidiary of the Social Reform Society, has completed a project to drill eight semi-artesian wells in several regions of India, benefiting more than 3,000 people. This initiative is part of Namaa's ongoing efforts to provide clean water sources to communities in dire need.

In response to water scarcity challenges, Abdulaziz Al-Ibrahim, Head of Communications at Namaa Charity, explained that many areas in India still suffer from a severe shortage of potable water. This forces thousands of families to travel long distances daily to obtain it, given the limited availability of safe water sources and the resulting negative impacts on their health and living conditions.

A sustainable health and livelihood impact: Al-Ibrahim noted that the project addresses this urgent need, as the wells will provide a sustainable source of clean water, contributing to improved quality of life, reducing the spread of waterborne diseases, and enhancing stability and well-being for the population.

Kuwaiti generosity reinforces humanitarian values

He affirmed that these projects embody the values of humanitarian giving and reflect the contributions of Kuwaiti philanthropists in supporting those in need around the world, emphasizing the continued commitment of Namaa Charity to implementing its development and relief programs aimed at restoring hope and improving the lives of affected communities.
