“Namaa Charity” concluded the “Water Supply” project to distribute 100 water tankers in “Gaza”.

The Kuwaiti charity, Namaa Charity, announced the completion of its "Water Distribution" project in northern Gaza, distributing 100 tankers of potable water to the most vulnerable families to alleviate their daily suffering caused by the deteriorating humanitarian situation and the severe shortage of clean water sources in the Gaza Strip.

Abdul Aziz Al-Kandari, Deputy Executive Director of Namaa Charity at the Social Reform Society, stated in a press release that the "Water Distribution" project in Gaza was an urgent response to the growing humanitarian needs, especially given the exceptional circumstances faced by residents due to the scarcity of basic resources.

Al-Kandari explained that water is no longer just a basic service but has become a lifeline for the people of Gaza, given the suffering of thousands of families due to the difficulty in accessing clean water for daily use. This directly impacts public health and the overall stability of life in the Strip.

He added that Namaa Charity prioritized implementing this project in northern Gaza because it is one of the most affected areas and because displaced people face significant challenges in accessing drinking water. The aim was to deliver water to the most vulnerable groups, particularly in light of the extensive damage inflicted on the infrastructure in northern Gaza. He noted that the project involved distributing 100 water tankers, with each tanker benefiting approximately 125 people, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 12,500. This initiative aims to alleviate the suffering of families and provide them with their basic daily needs.

Al-Kandari explained that the project was implemented over a full week, during which field teams worked continuously to ensure water reached the largest possible number of beneficiaries, despite the challenging field conditions.

He emphasized that the water crisis in Gaza transcends being merely a service crisis, becoming a humanitarian challenge that impacts human dignity. Families are forced to search for water sources for extended periods, and these sources may not be safe, exacerbating the health risks for displaced people.

He pointed out that providing clean water directly contributes to protecting children and the elderly from diseases and enhances families' ability to cope with daily challenges.

He indicated that this initiative is part of a series of humanitarian interventions implemented by Namaa Charity, stemming from its mission to support affected communities and provide essential life necessities. He expressed his gratitude to the supporters and benefactors who played a role in the success of this project, emphasizing that their donations had a direct impact on saving the lives of thousands of families and alleviating their suffering.

Al-Kandari affirmed that Namaa Charity will continue to implement more relief projects in the Gaza Strip, calling for intensified humanitarian efforts to address the deteriorating situation and ensure that essential aid reaches those who need it most.
