Namaa Charity launches the "University Student Care" project in cooperation with the General Secretariat of Endowments.

Namaa Charity, affiliated with the Social Reform Society, in strategic partnership with the General Secretariat of Endowments, launched the "University Student Sponsorship" project for the first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. The project aims to support Kuwaiti and resident university students who are financially unable to complete their university education at universities accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education inside and outside Kuwait.
Eng. Khalifa Al-Qabandi, Director of Projects at Namaa Charity, said: "The number of students benefiting from the project in the current first semester reached 816 male and female students. The total number of beneficiaries since the project's launch in the 2020-2021 academic year has reached 3,972 male and female students. This reflects the initiative's growing positive impact in assisting families and alleviating their educational burdens." Al-Qabandi emphasized that the "University Student Sponsorship" project is a distinguished model of strategic partnership between charitable and governmental institutions. Nama is committed to implementing the project in accordance with the donors' conditions, while the General Secretariat of Endowments contributes to managing the endowment funds for education, within an integrated vision that serves Kuwait Vision 2035 and the goals of sustainable development. Al-Qabandi explained that the project embodies Nama's vision of investing in people, noting that "the association does not only provide financial support to students, but also provides them with the opportunity to achieve their academic dreams and contribute to community development." He added, "The number of beneficiaries reflects the project's significant impact, with 816 students supported this semester and 3,972 since its launch." Al-Qabandi explained that Nama places the utmost importance on education, and also supports school students through projects such as "Teach Me, I Will Reward You." He noted that these initiatives have contributed to supporting more than 8,538 male and female students since 2017, including approximately 1,000 students in the first semester of this year.
Al-Qabandi noted that the Secretariat plays a pivotal role in supporting education through the management of endowment funds, and that this partnership "embodies a model of integrated work in serving the community." He added that "the project has enabled 816 students to benefit under specific conditions that ensure fairness and transparency." He called for the continuation of this cooperation to support the rising generation academically and socially.
Al-Qabandi expressed his pride in the ongoing effective partnership with the General Secretariat of Endowments, explaining that this is the eighth consecutive semester that Nama has implemented within the project. Over the past four years, it has committed to supporting thousands of students in accordance with the endower's conditions, while ensuring the proper allocation of aid towards tuition fees.
