Nama’a Charity at the Social Reform Association Extends Gratitude to Minister Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah for Honoring Outstanding Students with Disabilities

Nama’a Charity, affiliated with the Social Reform Association, extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to Her Excellency Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, for her noble national initiative in sponsoring the honoring ceremony of high school top achievers from among persons with disabilities. This recognition crowns years of perseverance, dedication, and hard work by these outstanding young individuals, and it reflects the care and attention of the Kuwaiti leadership and institutions toward this cherished group, reaffirming the state’s commitment to their inclusion and empowerment.

Abdulaziz Al-Ibrahim, Head of Communications at Nama’a Charity, affirmed that Nama’a’s support for this initiative reflects the organization’s core values, which place the human being at the center of its charitable and humanitarian mission—especially individuals with disabilities who have overcome challenges to excel academically. “It is our duty to stand as partners in their celebration and recognition,” he said.

Al-Ibrahim: We are proud to support the honoring of outstanding students with disabilities—a message of hope and determination to society

He continued, “During the ceremony, we witnessed the overwhelming joy on the faces of the honored students—truly inspiring moments for all of us. These heroes have proven that determination and willpower are the keys to achievement, and that real disability lies not in the body, but in the absence of ambition and perseverance.”

Al-Ibrahim explained that this initiative is part of Nama’a Charity’s long-term strategy to support persons with disabilities. Each year, the organization implements dozens of projects tailored to them, ranging from the provision of prosthetic devices and medical wheelchairs to physiotherapy and motor rehabilitation programs. “We believe our responsibility goes beyond material aid—it includes educational, social, and psychological empowerment,” he said.

He emphasized that honoring outstanding students with disabilities sends many important messages—most notably, that Kuwaiti society, with all its institutions and individuals, values effort and appreciates knowledge. It also shows that the doors to excellence and success are open to everyone without exception, provided there is determination, support, and sincere care. “This ceremony also carries deep humanitarian and social significance,” he said. “It is a tribute to the Kuwaiti families who raised these students and stood by them through the challenges of study and daily struggles. We salute the mothers and fathers who were the pillars of this success. They are true partners in every achievement realized.”

Al-Ibrahim added:

“At Nama’a Charity, we affirm that this support is not the end of the journey, but rather the beginning of a greater path, God willing. We will continue launching targeted initiatives for persons with disabilities, and we call upon charitable associations and all concerned entities to adopt similar programs. Persons with disabilities deserve a supportive environment in education, employment, sports, and community activities. They are an integral part of our nation’s fabric, and their contributions are no less than those of anyone else.”

He concluded his statement by saying:

“We extend our warmest congratulations to our honored sons and daughters today, and we ask Allah to bless them with a bright future filled with success and accomplishments. May He bless their knowledge and deeds and make them role models in their communities. At Nama’a Charity, we pledge to always be by their side—supporting and assisting them on their academic and professional journey, God willing.”
