A Partnership Between Nama’a Charity and the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy in the “WAFIR” Campaign
Saeed Al-Ateeibi, CEO of Nama’a Charity:
“This partnership reflects our commitment to a responsible national vision for resource sustainability.”
Saeed Marzouq Al-Ateeibi, Chief Executive Officer of Nama’a Charity under the Social Reform Association, affirmed that the strategic partnership between Nama’a and the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy in the “WAFIR” (Save) campaign embodies the true role of social responsibility in serving the nation. It strengthens collaboration between state institutions and the charitable sector in promoting a culture of conservation and resource preservation.
Al-Ateeibi added that Nama’a Charity views this campaign as a pioneering national step that enhances the awareness of citizens and residents about the importance of responsible energy use, especially in light of global environmental and climate challenges. He noted that the campaign aligns with Nama’a’s vision of supporting initiatives that serve the public interest.
He explained that this strategic partnership with the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy enhances the image of charitable work in Kuwait, giving it a broader dimension that goes beyond relief and development work to include environmental awareness, support for sustainability, and proactive engagement with community issues in a more comprehensive and responsible manner.
Al-Ateeibi emphasized that rationalization does not simply mean reducing usage, but rather represents an integrated culture stemming from a sense of responsibility for the blessings we enjoy. He added, “He who does not show gratitude for blessings is not worthy of them,” which is why Nama’a Charity seeks to instill the concept of conservation as a moral value and a civilized behavior.
He also highlighted that Nama’a Charity places great importance on government partnerships, believing that national work cannot succeed without integrated roles. He confirmed that cooperation with the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy is a successful model that can be replicated in future projects that serve the country and its citizens.
Al-Ateeibi praised the Ministry’s efforts in leading this national campaign, confirming that the Ministry is exerting significant efforts to promote a culture of sustainability and is a vital partner in building comprehensive environmental awareness. He pointed out that collaboration with government entities that have a clear vision enhances the credibility and impact of charitable work.
He further emphasized that Nama’a Charity believes that investing in community awareness is a long-term investment, where every drop of water saved and every kilowatt of electricity conserved contributes directly to the national economy and protects the future of the next generations.
In conclusion, Al-Ateeibi stated:
“At Nama’a Charity, we reaffirm our commitment to stand alongside state institutions in every effort that enhances awareness, instills values, and achieves sustainable development. With God’s help, we will remain part of every initiative that seeks the good of this country and its people.”
