Namaa Charity and the Awqaf Secretariat announce the beneficiaries of the "University Student" project.

Namaa Charity, affiliated with the Social Reform Society, announced during a press conference held in the presence of Abdulaziz Al-Kandari, Deputy CEO of Namaa Charity, and Nasser Al-Khader, representative of the General Secretariat of Endowments, the beneficiaries of the "University Student Sponsorship" project for the first semester of the current academic year. The number of beneficiaries during the first semester of the current academic year reached approximately 816 male and female students, while approximately 3,972 male and female students have benefited from the project since its launch. This pioneering project is a model of strategic partnership between charitable and governmental institutions, and aims to support university students who are financially unable to complete their education.

Abdulaziz Al-Kandari, Deputy CEO of Namaa Charity, began his remarks by saying, "The University Student Sponsorship Project is a practical embodiment of Namaa Charity's vision of investing in people, because an advanced society cannot be built without education." He pointed out that Namaa Charity not only supports students financially, but also gives them the opportunity to achieve their academic dreams and contribute to the development of their community. Education is the foundation of nation-building, and this project seeks to bridge the educational gap that prevents young people from achieving their ambitions.

Al-Kandari: "University Student Sponsorship" embodies Nama's vision of investing in people and fulfilling youth's aspirations.

He added: "Since the launch of the project in the 2020-2021 academic year, 3,972 male and female students have benefited from it, with a total amount exceeding 1,998,053 Kuwaiti dinars. In the first semester of this year alone, 816 male and female students were supported." He indicated that these numbers reflect the magnitude of the impact the project has had on the lives of beneficiaries and their families.

When asked about supporting students in general education, Al-Kandari said, "Namaa Charity has not neglected school students. We are implementing the "Teach Me, I Will Reward You" project, which supports underprivileged students and orphans at various educational levels. Since 2017, 8,538 students have benefited from the project, including 1,000 beneficiaries in the first semester of this year. He explained that the project aims to combat school dropout and provide equitable educational opportunities, with a focus on outstanding students to ensure the continuity of their education."

Al-Kandari explained that the "University Student Sponsorship" and "Teach Me, I Will Reward" projects embody our commitment to Namaa Charity's slogan, "We Care for People." Education is the path to building a bright future, and we will continue to fulfill our mission to ensure sustainable education that opens doors of opportunity for all those in need.

Al-Khader: The General Secretariat of Endowments continues to implement the donors' conditions to support students and achieve sustainable development.

For his part, Nasser Al-Khader, Director of the Endowment Projects Department at the General Secretariat of Endowments, said, "The General Secretariat of Endowments plays a pivotal role by managing endowment funds allocated to support education, in line with the donors' conditions stipulated in the endowment documents. This partnership is not merely cooperation, but rather a model of integrated work that serves Kuwait Vision 2035 and the Sustainable Development Goals. Thanks to this partnership, we contribute to empowering youth, promoting the values ​​of social solidarity, and building an informed and educated generation capable of advancing their society."

Al-Khadher confirmed that this partnership resulted in the acceptance of 816 students who met the required criteria. He pointed out that the project reflects a commitment to implementing the endowment documents and the expenditures they stipulate, particularly those allocated to support scientific development. He explained that the project guarantees support for students studying at universities accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education in the State of Kuwait, both inside and outside the country. He prayed to God Almighty that these students will be a support in the development and building of the nation.

Al-Bassam: Our partnership with the General Secretariat of Endowments is a model for promoting human development and empowering youth.

Al-Khadher added: The General Secretariat of Endowments is working to fulfill the endowment requirements and direct endowment funds to support students who meet the requirements. We hope that this project will contribute to building an aware generation capable of contributing to the sustainable development of our beloved country.

For his part, Walid Al-Bassam, Head of Projects and Development at Namaa Charity, expressed his pride in this partnership, which aims to promote human development. He noted that Namaa Charity operates under the slogan "We Care for Humanity," inspired by the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever travels a path in search of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise."

Al-Bassam emphasized that this is the eighth season of the project, with support for 3,972 male and female students across eight academic semesters over the past four years, in full compliance with the donor's conditions and directing the aid to cover tuition fees. Al-Bassam concluded with a prayer, saying: "We ask God to grant the students success and guide their steps so that they may become effective members in serving their country and community."
