Namaa Charity distributes food baskets in Somalia

As part of its ongoing relief and development efforts, Namaa Charity, affiliated with the Social Reform Association, distributed comprehensive food baskets in the Jarsbali area on the outskirts of the Somali capital, Mogadishu. The distribution targeted the most needy families in a camp, benefiting more than 250 individuals. The distribution was conducted in cooperation with the local Zamzam Foundation, as part of a humanitarian partnership aimed at enhancing food security in the most vulnerable areas.
Khaled Mubarak Al Shamri, Head of the Development and Relief Sector at Namaa Charity, emphasized that this initiative is part of a series of relief projects implemented by Namaa in several countries. He noted that the food basket provided contains basic necessities sufficient for a family for an appropriate period. Beneficiaries were identified based on careful field studies in collaboration with local partners to ensure that support reaches those who deserve it. Al-Shammari extended his deepest gratitude and appreciation to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah for their continued support of charitable work, saying, "Thanks to this official sponsorship and support, Kuwait has become a global humanitarian center and a source of pride in the fields of giving."
Al-Shammari also praised the role of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the facilitation and coordination they provide, enabling charities to carry out their humanitarian role with efficiency and transparency. He added, "At Nama, we are keen to ensure that our efforts are not limited to emergency relief alone, but rather strive to transform into sustainable development projects that achieve long-term impact and support human dignity."
Al-Shammari continued, "We work in accordance with Nama's vision, which is based on enhancing human dignity and achieving sustainability in giving. We renew our gratitude to our wise leadership, the ministries of state, and the philanthropists in Kuwait who transform their donations into a tangible impact that changes the lives of thousands around the world." For his part, Shuaib Abdul Latif, Chairman of the Zamzam Foundation, expressed his deep gratitude to the State of Kuwait, its leadership, government, and people, emphasizing that the partnership with Namaa Charity represents a successful model of humanitarian cooperation.
He said, "We highly value the efforts provided by Namaa Charity and the generous Kuwaiti support that reaches those in need in hard-to-reach areas. We have witnessed the direct positive impact of this project on the lives of dozens of families in the Jarsbali camp."
He added, "We at the Zamzam Foundation believe in the importance of joint work, and this partnership with Namaa is not the first. We look forward to further collaboration on humanitarian and development projects that make a real difference on the ground."
