Namaa Charity: “For Gaza” Extends Kuwait’s Generosity and Responds to the Situation of Survivors and Displaced Persons

In light of the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip for nearly two years, and with the crisis worsening due to continued bombardment, displacement, and the loss of basic necessities, Namaa Charity, affiliated with the Social Reform Society, launched its new relief project entitled “For Gaza.” This project aims to provide urgent humanitarian interventions in the areas of food, water, and shelter.

Ibrahim Al-Sanea, Marketing Director at Namaa Charity, stated: “The ‘For Gaza’ project is a practical embodiment of the humanitarian duty dictated by our responsibility as a charitable organization operating from the heart of Kuwait – a land of giving and humanity – to reach the hearts of those afflicted and in need around the world. Gaza today is among the most suffering areas on a humanitarian level, where civilians face tragic conditions after losing their homes and suffering from severe shortages of food, water, and basic medical services.”

Al-Sanea explained that the project aims to secure the needs of thousands of displaced families and survivors of the bombing in the Gaza Strip through key humanitarian initiatives, including: providing daily ready-made meals to residents in shelters and affected areas; distributing potable water by filling tanks and dispatching tankers to areas where infrastructure has been destroyed; and providing comprehensive food baskets that ensure a minimum level of food security for affected families.

In his statement, Al-Sanea emphasized that international reports, including those issued by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), indicate that more than 1.7 million people in Gaza have been forcibly displaced from their homes, and that nearly 80% of the population suffers from food insecurity. Data also indicates that more than half of the children suffer from acute or chronic malnutrition, making humanitarian intervention an urgent necessity.

Al-Sanea stated that survivors of the bombing now possess little more than tents, contaminated water, and a long list of hardships. This project, therefore, is a genuine response that upholds human dignity and restores the right to a life of dignity. Al-Sanea emphasized that Namaa Charity is implementing this project in cooperation with accredited local partners within Gaza, and under the direct supervision of the relevant authorities in Kuwait, to ensure transparency, speed of implementation, and meticulous monitoring of every stage of aid delivery.

Al-Sanea explained: “We operate with professional mechanisms that guarantee donations reach those who deserve them. We call upon all people of goodwill in Kuwait and abroad to participate in this project, which could make a life-changing difference for the children of Gaza, who ask for nothing more than a clean meal, potable water, and shelter from the cold of displacement.”

In closing, Al-Sanea stated: “Gaza is not an emergency issue, but rather a persistent wound that requires genuine support. We at Namaa Charity believe that every helping hand contributes to building a dignified life for those who have been left destitute. We invite everyone to be partners in the ‘For Gaza’ project, for in every donation lies life, and in every life lies hope.”
