Namaa Charity: Clothing, Food Baskets, Tents, and Meals for the People of Gaza
As part of its ongoing humanitarian role and in fulfillment of its mission to stand with affected populations, Namaa Charity, affiliated with the Social Reform Society, continues its relief efforts in the Gaza Strip. This includes implementing a package of humanitarian projects such as distributing 100 food baskets and 100 sets of clothing to orphans and affected families, in addition to providing 30 shelter tents and 6,000 meals. These efforts address the escalating living needs amidst the harsh humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip.
Saad Al-Otaibi, CEO of Namaa Charity, stated: “The extremely difficult humanitarian conditions faced by our people in Gaza, including food shortages, lack of basic necessities, and damage to homes and shelters, necessitate concerted efforts and a rapid response. The food baskets, clothing, tents, and ready-made meals represent a true lifeline for thousands of families who have lost the most basic necessities of life.” He added: “Namaa Charity operates on the principle of preserving human dignity and strives, through these projects, to alleviate the suffering of families, especially orphans, widows, the elderly, and displaced persons, by providing their basic needs that guarantee them a minimum level of stability and human security.”
Al-Otaibi pointed out that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is rapidly deteriorating, with the continued scarcity of food supplies, rising prices, disruptions to supply chains, and a shortage of shelter. He emphasized that food baskets, clothing, and tents are no longer seasonal relief efforts, but rather a daily necessity to save lives and preserve human dignity.
Al-Otaibi affirmed that Namaa Charity adopts a meticulous policy in implementing its projects, based on coordination with trusted local partners accredited by official authorities in the State of Kuwait, and the preparation of updated field lists, prioritizing the most needy families. He stressed that all distribution processes are carried out according to standards of transparency, fairness, and the proper allocation of donations to ensure that support reaches those who deserve it and achieves the desired humanitarian impact.
Al-Otaibi concluded his statement by thanking the donors, saying: “We highly value the continued support provided by the people of Kuwait for charitable and humanitarian work, which embodies the honorable image of Kuwait as a leading country in giving, and confirms its humanitarian message that has reached various parts of the world.”
