In cooperation with the General Secretariat of Endowments, Namaa Charity launches health projects to treat patients with multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Namaa Charity, affiliated with the Social Reform Society, in partnership with the General Secretariat of Endowments, announced the launch of several health projects aimed at providing treatment to underprivileged patients. Funding is provided by the Endowment Funds Department at the General Secretariat of Endowments (the Endowment Fund for Health Development), in compliance with the donor's conditions stipulated in the endowment documents. This stems from Namaa Charity's role in achieving social solidarity and enhancing healthcare for needy groups within Kuwait.
In this regard, Waleed Ahmed Al-Kandari, Director of Public Relations at Namaa Charity, emphasized that these projects aim to support patients suffering from multiple sclerosis (MS) and rheumatoid arthritis, two of the most expensive diseases to treat. He noted that many cases struggle to obtain medication due to their high prices, making this project a humanitarian and societal necessity.
Al-Kandari explained that Namaa Charity works to localize charitable and humanitarian work by providing health, educational, and relief services within Kuwait. This contributes to strengthening the role of national institutions in supporting those in need and achieving sustainability in the provision of humanitarian services. He noted that these projects are part of Namaa's vision to provide practical solutions that enhance patients' ability to receive treatment without burdensome financial burdens.
He added that this initiative is in line with Kuwait Vision 2035, which aims to develop health services and improve the quality of life for citizens and residents by supporting projects that provide treatment and medical care to those in need. He emphasized that investing in human health is an investment in the future of society, as these projects contribute to reducing the health and economic burdens on needy families.
Al-Kandari pointed out that the health projects implemented by Namaa Charity, in partnership with the General Secretariat of Endowments, are part of achieving the United Nations development goals, particularly the third goal of the Sustainable Development Goals, which stipulates ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages.
He explained that these efforts aim to reduce the rates of chronic diseases, improve quality of life, and provide a sustainable, healthy environment for society, in line with local and international efforts to support the health sector. Al-Kandari emphasized that the strategic partnership between Namaa Charity and the General Secretariat of Endowments reflects the two organizations' commitment to providing sustainable, quality programs that meet the needs of the most vulnerable groups. He noted that this partnership extends to multiple fields, including education, health, and social care, to ensure a positive and sustainable impact on society. He concluded his statement by emphasizing that Namaa Charity continues to deliver its health and development projects, believing in the importance of supporting patients in need and alleviating their suffering. He called on everyone to contribute to supporting such humanitarian initiatives, which reflect the values of giving and solidarity deeply rooted in Kuwaiti society.
