Kuwaiti "Namaa Charity" implements a water well drilling project in Tanzania
(KUNA) – Kuwait’s Namaa Charity Association has completed a project to drill 15 water wells in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to enhance water security and provide clean and safe drinking water to a number of the most vulnerable families.
Abdulaziz Al-Ibrahim, Head of Communications at the association, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the project comes in response to the urgent needs of communities suffering from water scarcity. He emphasized that providing safe drinking water is fundamental to a dignified life and a cornerstone of public health and economic stability.
Al-Ibrahim explained that the project aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 6, which focuses on ensuring access to water and sanitation for all. He noted that the new wells will contribute to reducing waterborne diseases and enable families to dedicate more time to education and work.
He added that these wells will serve hundreds of beneficiaries, alleviate the daily burdens on women and children, and improve health and environmental conditions in the targeted areas.
Al-Ibrahim affirmed that “Namaa Charity” will continue to implement water projects in the most needy countries in partnership with donors and philanthropists, reflecting the deeply rooted humanitarian values of the State of Kuwait and its pioneering role in humanitarian work around the world.
Namaa Charity continues to support Gaza residents by distributing food baskets, benefiting 1,000 people.
