Namaa Charity implements the Iftar project in northern Gaza.
Amid the harsh humanitarian conditions facing the people of northern Gaza, Namaa Charity, affiliated with the Social Reform Society, has implemented the "Iftar Meals for Fasting" project, providing hot iftar meals to the neediest families amidst the rubble and destruction, where hunger is raging and need is exacerbated. The project aims to distribute 1,600 meals to those fasting.
Saad Marzouq Al-Otaibi, CEO of Namaa Charity, said, "During Ramadan, we do not leave a fasting person without breaking the fast." He emphasized the organization's commitment to its humanitarian duty toward the people of Gaza, having launched Iftar Meals to serve as tables of mercy that alleviate hunger and instill hope in weary hearts.
Al-Otaibi added, "In the streets of Gaza, where homes lie in ruins and where destruction embraces hunger, Namaa Charity Meals have become a ray of light amidst the darkness, extending a helping hand to those who have lost everything and affirming that goodness never dies." He pointed out that this humanitarian initiative embodies Namaa Charity's mission to alleviate the suffering of our brothers and sisters in Gaza and stand by them during the month of mercy and forgiveness. Hot iftar meals are prepared and distributed daily to affected families, reflecting the spirit of Islamic solidarity and sincere brotherhood.
Al-Otaibi also emphasized that the State of Kuwait, its leadership and people, has always been and will always remain at the forefront of countries supporting humanitarian efforts in Palestine, thanks to the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, who have made humanitarian work a constant approach for Kuwait in supporting our afflicted brothers and sisters.
He concluded his remarks by saying: Despite the harsh conditions, Namaa Charity's charities sow warmth in the hearts of those in need, affirming that Ramadan in Gaza is one of patience, charity, and unending giving. For his part, Marwan Muhaisen, Director of the Wafa Foundation for Development and Capacity Building, expressed his deep gratitude to the State of Kuwait—its Emir, government, and people—for their continued support for the people of Palestine and their honorable stances in alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people. He noted that the Tekyat Nama Charity initiative is not just an iftar meal, but rather a message of human solidarity that helps the hungry, consoles the grieving, and restores hope to those burdened by hardship.
Muhaisen added, "When crises intensify, the fasting person cannot wait to find his daily bread. That's why Tekyat Nama Charity in northern Gaza has been a gateway to goodness and a support for families who have lost their homes and become helpless."
He explained that the situation in Gaza is tragic by all standards, with hundreds of families living without shelter and suffering from scarcity of food and potable water. Nevertheless, Kuwait's charitable efforts remain a beacon of light that dispels some of this darkness. He praised the pioneering humanitarian role played by the State of Kuwait, saying, "What Kuwait is providing to Palestine is not just passing support, but rather a moral and humanitarian commitment, and a message of loyalty to a people still struggling for their right to life and dignity."
He also noted the cooperation between Wafa and Namaa Charity, which is being translated on the ground through the provision of hot iftar meals to the people of Gaza, despite all the logistical and security challenges, because Kuwaiti generosity always reaches those in need.
He concluded by saying, "We are not only feeding the hungry, but also restoring some hope to them, and assuring them that the nation has not forgotten them, and that goodness still lives in the hearts of those who do good."
The beneficiaries unanimously shared one message: "Thank you Kuwait... thank you to every hand extended to us during these blessed days," emphasizing that "Kuwaiti generosity will remain engraved in our hearts, just as the wounds of Gaza have been engraved in the memory of time."
