Namaa Charity organizes a volunteer trip to Indonesia to implement development and relief projects for the most needy groups.
As part of its ongoing humanitarian mission and its commitment to reaching the most vulnerable communities, Namaa Charity, a branch of the Social Reform Society, conducted a humanitarian volunteer trip to the Republic of Indonesia. A number of volunteers participated in the trip, which resulted in the implementation of a range of development and relief projects targeting impoverished families, orphans, students, and those with limited incomes, thereby enhancing their living standards and achieving a sustainable impact.
In this context, Abdulaziz Al-Kandari, Deputy CEO of Namaa Charity, stated that this volunteer trip was a practical embodiment of Namaa's vision of combining relief aid with development work. He emphasized that the projects implemented in Indonesia focused on empowering individuals, preserving their dignity, and supporting them to become productive members of their communities.
He explained that the trip included the implementation of several high-quality humanitarian and development projects, under the direct supervision of Namaa teams and in cooperation with accredited local partners, ensuring effective implementation and that aid reaches those who need it most. He noted that the trip included implementing a halal income project by providing five sewing machines to needy families, aiming to empower them to find a sustainable source of income and move from a state of need to one of productivity. He emphasized that this type of project represents one of the pillars of the development work adopted by Namaa Charity.
He added that Namaa Charity also supported six fishermen by providing them with basic necessities to help them carry out their work, which directly improves their families' standard of living and contributes to supporting the local economy in impoverished coastal areas.
He explained that the trip also saw the distribution of 300 food baskets to impoverished families to secure their basic food needs and alleviate their living burdens, especially in areas suffering from low income and high living costs.
In the area of education, he explained that Namaa Charity provided educational support to 130 students, including providing school supplies and educational aid, based on the belief that education is the true gateway to sustainable development and the foundation for building self-reliant societies. The trip also included support for 70 orphans through Namaa Charity's programs dedicated to orphan care. These programs aim to provide orphans with their basic needs, as well as psychological and social support, ensuring them a dignified life and better opportunities for the future.
In closing, the Deputy CEO of Namaa Charity expressed his deepest gratitude to the State of Kuwait, its leadership, and its people, praising the ongoing support from the Kuwaiti people and generous donors, whose contributions were instrumental in the success of this trip and the achievement of its humanitarian goals.
He also commended the wise political leadership, headed by His Highness the Emir of Kuwait, may God protect him, and His Highness the Crown Prince, may God protect him, for their care and support of charitable and humanitarian work. He affirmed that Kuwait will remain – God willing – a beacon of goodness and a pioneer in humanitarian aid worldwide.
