Namaa Charity: Be a Help to Them, Providing Gaza with Food, Warmth, and Shelter in the Face of the Storm
Amidst the dire humanitarian conditions endured by the people of Gaza, where families suffer from food shortages, the bitter cold, and damage to their homes due to heavy rains, Namaa Charity – a social reform society – continues its urgent relief efforts through the “Be a Help to Them” project, embodying the meaning of solidarity in the most difficult circumstances.
Abdulaziz Ahmed Al-Kandari, Deputy CEO of Namaa Charity, emphasized that the difficult humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip necessitates an urgent and sustained response. He noted that the project was launched to meet the basic needs of the most affected families and alleviate their suffering amidst the harsh cold and limited resources.
Al-Kandari explained that Namaa Charity has been able to distribute food baskets to needy families, providing them with essential food supplies at a time when markets are suffering from shortages and soaring prices, making access to food a daily challenge that burdens thousands of families. He added that these baskets represent a true lifeline for families who are struggling to secure their daily sustenance. He also explained that the project included the installation of 30 new tents for families whose tents were damaged by heavy rains and strong winds, leaving some families without temporary shelter and vulnerable to harsh weather conditions. He emphasized that providing shelter is a top priority for preserving human dignity and ensuring safety, especially given the ongoing exceptional circumstances in the Gaza Strip.
Al-Kandari noted that the humanitarian situation in Gaza remains characterized by high rates of displacement, damaged infrastructure, and limited access to basic services, which exacerbates the need for relief and necessitates concerted humanitarian efforts. He affirmed that Namaa Charity is committed to its humanitarian mission, stemming from its ethical responsibility and its dedication to supporting its brothers and sisters in times of hardship.
He concluded by emphasizing that the “Be a Help to Them” project reflects Namaa’s commitment to responding swiftly to urgent needs, and he called upon philanthropists to continue supporting these efforts so that the impact is sustained and aid reaches the largest possible number of affected families in Gaza.
